Herts Help

This the new network of community organisations working together to help people find the practical support, guidance and information they need to get the most out of life.

There are lots of excellent sources of information in Hertfordshire but the overall picture about the sort of help people can get from the thousands of voluntary organisations and the hundreds of public sector organisations can be complicated. Herts Help was set up to help make sure all providers were networked together with a common understanding of how they should work to ensure people get the quickest and best informed response they can with extra help in making use of the information/advice if they need it.

The aim of Herts Help is to get people the help they need as quickly and as simply as possible by:

Herts Help is a group of 130 plus charities working in partnership with Herts County Council and the NHS to help people stay well and active in their communities. We know that people are more likely to stay independent if they get the right information and advice about the help that may be available. Some people need extra help to use that information and advice which is why advocacy is also part of what the network guarantees.

To contact Herts Help, telephone: 0300 123 4044; e-mail info@hertshelp.net or look on the website: www.hertsdirect.org/hertshelp.
